Eleanor Dare is an eight bedroom oceanfront retreat in Nags Head, named for the mother of Virginia Dare, the first English child born in the Americas, and part of the storied 1587 Lost Colony of Roanoke Island. Today the home carries that same spirit of discovery, offering over 5,000 square feet across three levels, an elevator serving every floor, and eight en suite bedrooms designed for multi-generational families and large groups to gather in comfort. Ocean views open up from the top floor, and private dune-top stairs lead guests straight down to the beach.

"This home is without a doubt Magical! The views are absolutely breathtaking, we saw Dolphins every morning right from the balconies. This house had everything you could possibly need and so many things to do! I was very impressed with the Media Room, great for multiple people to enjoy movies together and feel like you're in an actual theatre. Every bedroom is set-up flawlessly from decor to bedding and the furniture everything was so well put together. I just can't say enough about how impressed I was, every room seemed to keep impressing my family even more. We loved the heated pool and hot tub, having the outdoor showers was a great bonus!! Will be choosing this home for many visits to come!"

This home is perfectly situated on the water, has amazing sunrises, quiet neighborhood, excellent amenities and the best perk? A huge pod of dolphins right in front of the house!!!

We stayed as a group of 11 adults, the house is beautiful and has everything you need. Very clean and decorated so nice. No matter what you wanted to do, swim, watch a movie, play games or relax, this home has it all. Would highly recommend!
